The Groom Room at NDC
Professional 1:1 dog & cat grooming in Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border
Our friendly salon offers calm, quiet grooming with your pet’s comfort first. We never use cages, and our purpose built holding pens are used by one dog at a time, unless from the same family. We take pride in making every groom a calm, positive experience.
We use natural, organic, cruelty-free products handmade by small UK businesses and suitable for sensitive skin. Every visit includes a drop-off assessment and a full groom breakdown at collection.
*Please note: At present we are only able to offer grooms to dogs over 20kg if they have been groomed since puppyhood (by ourselves or another groomer) or if they are known to us and are happy with being groomed.

Your dog’s comfort is always our priority — during these desensitisation sessions if your dog needs time to build up to not being afraid of our powerful drying equipment they will be wet on collection. We refuse to force a puppy to do anything uncomfortable as this can cause fear and anxiety during grooming for life which is almost impossible to reverse.

If your dog's coat is tangled or in poor condition due to infrequent grooming or home care between appointments and more time is required this is chargeable, our fees can be viewed in additional services below. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full details.
Ultrasonic Dental Treatment
A gentle treatment using a professional ultrasonic toothbrush and specialist toothpaste to help reduce plaque, bad breath and to improve overall dental health.
The brush is silent, vibration free and held against the teeth and gums, rather than moved in a brushing action which is generally tolerated well. The nano bubbles created remove plaque, bacteria, debris which all contribute to gum disease, bad breath and tartar build up.
We assess your dog’s teeth and remove only plaque that loosens comfortably. Results vary, and follow-up sessions may be needed. For plaque removal we recommend a monthly session, for ongoing dental health maintenance we recommend 3 to 4 treatments per year.
Appointments last approx 15-20 minutes
Suitable for Dogs 6 Months +.
This treatment does not replace veterinary dental care. We cannot remove tartar, treat gum disease or infections, work on loose teeth. We will refer you to a Vet if we feel that your pet's teeth require medical assistance.
